Dr. Steve Wallace is a native of the Wilmington area. He graduated
from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a
B.S. degree in pharmacy. His dental education was at the
University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where he was chosen
after graduation to join the faculty as instructor in restorative
dentistry before entering private practice.
After 10 years experience in the private practice of restorative and
prosthetic dentistry, Dr. Wallace entered the periodontal residency
program at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his
periodontal specialty training where he graduated with honors. His
research on bone grafts and bone regeneration and medicinal interactions
is published in professional journals.
Dr. Wallace has extensive experience in surgical placement of implants
and prosthetic reconstruction of dental implants. He does numerous bone
and soft tissue graft surgery procedures each year, and gives lectures to
dental schools and professional study groups.
His practice will always provide the finest periodontal care through
continuing professional education, research contacts and use of the
latest technology.
